EUSR Training: 4 Things You Need to Know

EUSR Training: 4 Things You Need to Know

BAM Construction Training proudly announce our approval as an Energy and Utilities Skill provider. This means our selection of qualification schemes has expanded – with new EUSR Training Courses.

Here’s everything you need to know:

1. What is EUSR?

EUSR (Energy and Utility Skill Register) is a record of qualifications for energy and utility workers.

EUSR Card Checker

Individuals can check what qualifications they hold using the Online Register Search.

To generate results, enter the Surname and EUSR ID or Surname and Date of Birth of an individual.

Employers can also leverage this tool as part of the training and recruitment process.

2. What Does EUSR Training Cover?

EUSR cards allow individuals to carry out relevant work, specific to their qualifications.

This covers a variety of industries, including:

  • Drainage and Sewers
  • Gas
  • Power
  • Smart Metering
  • Telecommunications
  • Waste Management
  • Water
  • Cross-industry

Examples of cross-industry coverage include:

  • Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA)
  • Plant for Utilities Scheme (PLUS)
  • Confined Spaces
  • Utility Excavations

Does EUSR Cover CSCS?

EUSR does not directly cover CSCS, however its SHEA cards all carry the CSCS logo. This is part of an agreed partnership that allows individuals to gain access to construction sites and carry out utility work.

3. How to Earn Your EUSR Card

Once you have completed relevant training and testing, your card will be issued.

There are currently six card types:

  • EUSR
  • EUSR – CSCS Partner

  • SHEA SWITCH

These are issued as virtual cards and can be accessed on any mobile device, via the Vircarda app.

Want a physical copy of your card? Add this to your order at a small additional cost.
