CPCS Training – CPCS stands for the Construction Plant Competence Scheme and is one of the most widely recognised card schemes in the industry. Generally accepted across sites nationwide, the CPCS card allows you to get a foot in the doorway and begin your route to becoming a competent operator.
The tests are no walk in the park – if you’re doing a CPCS test then make sure you are fully prepared. Candidates will need to pass a verbal theory test and show their skills in a challenging practical assessment. You must have the passed the relevant Health and Safety Test before taking any CPCS test.
Our centres are fully equipped to deliver CPCS Training, both theory & practical, for the machine(s) of your choice. Our purpose built lifting area for crane operators, slinger/signallers and lift supervisors is designed to prepare candidates for their first lifts on-site.
Our purpose built forklift training area is specially designed to enable candidates to practice loading on lorry beds and towers during telehandler training, forklift training and rough terrain courses. We also have specially designated areas for 360 excavator training, dumper training and ride on roller training.
If you’ve been operating for years, we recommend doing an experienced worker course – which enables you to focus less on the basics and more on correcting bad habits, to prepare you for your test. If you’re a new operator to construction plant, we recommend doing a novice worker course so that additional training time can better prepare you for your test.
If you are unsure about the right course for you, schedule a free no obligation 10 minute assessment at one of our centres by contacting us today.
