NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) are based on national occupational standards. NVQ’s describe what a competent person is expected to be able to do. They cover aspects such as current best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements and help to underpin competent performance.
NVQ’s prove a workers’ competence by carrying out the assessment in the workplace. They can involve coming to our centres but often revolve around observations on site. Either way our assessors will gather evidence to achieve your qualifcation, and our quality assurance strategies ensure we deliver a higher level of education.
NVQs can be completed in your own time, delivered to full-time employees, self employed workers or employers. They can be offered to students with a work placement or part-time job and enable them to develop the appropriate skills. There are no age limits and no special entry requirements.
