In House training is a great way for businesses to remain Health and Safety compliant when using plant, machinery and tools in the workplace.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER) was introduced by the government, among other things, to ensure that all people who use, supervise or manage the use of work equipment have received adequate training. Click here to read up on PUWER 1998.

For anyone lifting or lowering loads regardless which machine is being used, we’d also advise you to look at the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulation as there is a lot of crucial information available. Click here to read up on LOLER 1998.

If there is an accident with an item of working equipment (machine, appliance, apparatus, tool) on-site and the individual using it had not recieved sufficient training, there could be serious repurcussions by the HSE.
