Streetworks operative courses are designed to help you become qualified in carrying out work on or near public roads. The courses are assessed through a series of multiple-choice tests and practical observations.
Those who pass the course will be awarded a card from SWQR, which is valid for 5 years. Once expired, the card can be renewed with our reassessment course.

NRSWA stands for the New Roads and Street Works Act. This legislation was introduced to ensure that street work completed across England, Scotland, and Wales is safe and efficient.
Novice courses are 5-day courses, designed for those looking to gain their Street Works qualifications for the first time.
Reassessment courses are 2-day courses, designed for those renewing their Street Works card.
Street Works cards last for five years, after which they must be renewed.
A person cannot continue to work as a qualified operative or supervisor where certificates have expired.
There is no grace period, and individuals must ensure that their certificates remain current.
Street Works card can be renewed by completing a 2-day reassessment course.
The Street Works Supervisor qualification does not qualify the holder to work as an operative.
Both operative and supervisor qualifications are necessary to work as either or both.
