Course Description

CPCS Tower Crane Operator courses are designed to help you become a qualified tower crane operator.

Choose between our novice and experienced training courses, based on your current operating experience.

Those who pass the CPCS theory and practical tests will achieve a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card, valid for 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Before attending this course, you must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test for Operatives within the past 2 years. This can be completed at our Wokingham centre for £60+VAT.

Course Learning Outcomes

Activity Instructions

Complete manufacturer pre-start and running checks. Prepare the dumper for travel.

Prepare and set the crane for each lift.

Change the number of falls on the hook block.

Lift a variety of loads and land them at a designated place.

Recover simulated 2 metre load swings.

Place the crane in the out-of-service mode. Carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
