Loader Securer Training: Non STGO (CPCS A50)

Course Introduction

CPCS Loader Securer Training (Non STGO) is designed to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge to pass their CPCS theory and practical assessments.

We accommodate novice and experienced Loader Securer Training Courses, supporting candidates in becoming competent Loader Securer (Non STGO) operators.

Eligibility Criteria

Before attending this course, candidates must pass the CITB Health and Safety Test for Operatives (OPS) within the past 2 years. We can accommodate this test at our centre for a fee of £60+VAT.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator.
  • Name & explain the purpose of principal components, controls & terminology.
  • Conform with manufacturer requirements and relevant regulations/legislation. Undertake all pre-use checks.
  • Operate the machine safely and efficiently.
  • Explain how to comply with Road Traffic Act requirements.
  • Maintain safe working situations.
  • Carry out shut down and securing procedures.
Loader Securer Training - Wokingham

Activity Instructions

Complete all manufacturers' pre-start and running checks.

Prepare the transporter for road travel – both loaded and unloaded.

Travel to the loading and unloading area.

Position, prepare and set the transporter for receiving and removing loads.

Establish the communication methods and loading arrangement with the plant operator.

Place or guide each load onto the transporter bed.

Position and secure all loads in preparation for travel.

Remove or guide loads from the transporter.

Stow all equipment and return the transporter to the park position.

Park the transporter and carry out shut-down and securing procedures.
